Open Protocols & Seamless Integration
At Creative Lighting, we believe in Open Protocols. While the eDIDIO is a powerful standalone controller, it is designed to play well with others. We have made it easier than ever to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for projects requiring deep connectivity.First Party Software
Our dedicated software suite allows you to unlock the full potential of your eDIDIO controller, from initial commissioning to end-user control.- Spektra+ (New) Your new unified lighting control solution. Spektra+ is the next generation of lighting control, designed to simplify and unify how you manage DALI and DMX systems. This network-based application consolidates our software ecosystem into a single powerful tool, providing seamless control from any device.Key Features: • Advanced Configuration: Full DALI addressing & commissioning, DMX sniffing, and comprehensive input/sensor setup. • Effortless Automation: Manage up to 144 saved sequences and 10 distinct zones with an inbuilt time clock. • Multi-Platform: Available for PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. Download Locations: For Android and IOS, search for Spektra+ on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. For Windows, Mac, and Linux, download from our release repository.
- DIDIO Configurator The classic, trusted tool for deep system configuration. While Spektra+ is the future, the Configurator remains available for specific legacy workflows, advanced input management, and sensor logic. Download Configurator (GitHub Releases)
For Developers: Direct API Access
Full control is at your fingertips with our robust API tools, allowing for custom interface creation in almost any programming language.- Google Protocol Buffers API
Robust, cross-platform integration. Our single
.protofile contains all message structures and can be compiled into an interface for multiple languages. Supported Languages: C#, C, Java, JavaScript, and Python. View the Repository on GitHub - Simple String Commands (TCP) For lightweight integration where only specific commands are required, you can send simple strings to the eDIDIO via TCP Port 23. Pro Tip: Use the ‘Generate Protobuf Commands’ dialog in Spektra+ (Application Settings) or Generate Commands in the DIDIO Configurator software to quickly create command strings.

Lighting Control Protocols
The eDIDIO is a versatile bridge between network commands and physical lighting hardware.- Standard Support: Native support for DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) and DMX512.
- Experimental Firmware (v1.1.3+): For advanced networking requirements, our experimental branch enables the eDIDIO to function as a 2 or 4 line Node for sACN (E1.31) and Art-Net.
Note: Experimental features are recommended for power users and specific integration scenarios.
